It’s been a few weeks since the TripleBottomLine Virtual Stock Market competition started. As of today, there are eight players vying for title of Green Stock Guru. Given the market swoon in August, there are currently only three people in the black, with Jason W. leading the pack. The rest of the top five can be found below. Jack is apparently too scared or too lazy to risk some stock picks or is betting on a stock market collapse as he has kept his 100K all in cash. Jono, currently in third place, had a big gain today and is making a splash early in the contest. The Green Hornet, meanwhile, is testing the unusual strategy of not diversifying by keeping Tesla and Suntech as the only holdings in its portfolio. Out of the top five, Mason Jar is sinking to the bottom of the ocean without an SOS message in its bottle at seventh place while Harold takes the cake for losses with a negative 7% return so far (rankings on next page; click chart to enlarge).
