As mentioned in the “November Clean Energy and Sustainability Events” post earlier this month, Wednesday November 11th through the 13th marks the Greenbuild 2009 International Conference and Expo. Taking place in Phoenix, AZ, the expo boasts 1,800 exhibit booths showcasing the latest in innovative products and services. With the world’s largest expo hall devoted to green building, Greenbuild 2009 is the place to go to learn how green can grow your business. Also, look for jobs or recruit employees by participating in the first-ever Green Building Job Fair.
Last year’s Greenbuild Expo in Boston featured record attendance. The following video from Fortune magazine highlights green building technology from last year’s expo.
Nobel Prize winner Al Gore will provide the keynote presentation. Other presenters include Rachel Gutter, director of education for the US Green Building Council (USGBC), mentioned here in a post last month. For a full list of speakers check the website. Click here for a schedule of this year’s events. To follow the events this year, the USGBC will continually post updates on their twitter stream.
Arizona’s local chapter of the USGBC is also promoting the conference on their website. The 9th annual expo is being referred to as “Main Street Green: Connect to the Conversation.” The Greenbuild Expo has posted much of the information regarding the conference on Zinio, a digital magazine available here. Behaving like a traditional magazine with articles and advertisements, without the mailing costs and paper consumption of normal magazines. Within its digital pages consumers can find a wealth of energy saving projects, low flow water devices, directories and product listings.
Although it lost the 2016 Olympics to Rio de Janiero, Chicago will host next year’s Greenbuild Expo.
