- The carbon trading market in the U.S. is estimated to top $1 trillion by 2020, according to an article in Business Week. Last year, carbon trading was less than $400 million. Europe, which capped emissions in 2005, now has a carbon market worth over $79 billion.
- If you have a washing machine, use cold water. According to ENERGY STAR, washing clothes in cold water will save you up to $40 per year.
- Fossil fuels are the source of most of our energy today and account for about 60 percent of greenhouse gas emissions globally. Electricity and heat are the major contributors, generating about 25 percent of the world total.

- 2nd Green Revolution recently took a Toyota Prius for a spin. By driving normal speeds and letting the battery do the work whenever possible, during a 17 mile trip the Prius averaged 75.2mpg.
